Mother's
Next Door, as we affectionately call it, is our first-ever
renovation to the historic Mother's facility. To all
of the folks who have been after us for years to build
a new venue, we are proud to offer this classic facility,
where you can experience all of the best of Mother's
at your next event, party or gathering. We were careful
to preserve the natural appeal of the Dining Room, a
circa 1840-1860 warehouse located directly adjacent
to the original restaurant. Our research tells us that
this was originally a tobacco warehouse; the open shafts
with the hand-operated elevator were used to lift bales
or quills of tobacco for storage.
The
Banquet Room, meanwhile, was originally Cumberland
electric, a power station for the commercial district
and for-runner
to our beloved Entergy. We've preserved the original
distressed warehouse look of both rooms, leaving the
exposed brick and gold plaster trim intact for a classic
feel. With a 290-person capacity, Mother's Next Door
is the perfect place to complement your gathering with
all of the Mother's classics and a first class stocked
bar. And best of all - we never run out. |
