Well, we made it back after Hurricane Gustav and everything is ok.  We didn’t have any damages and all employees returned safely.

Mother’s is getting back into our busy season with Football Games (College and Professional) and some beautiful weather.  We are looking over the next couple of months and wish to see and serve you Mother’s great food.  We would like to remind Saints, LSU and Tulane fans that we are open before and after games; and, our bar and seating at Mother’s Next Door will be open on weekends.  We also want to remind people that our “Charlie ‘Elvis’ Stephens Special Bloody Mary” and Mimosas will be featured all around the restaurant - maybe you will bump into Elvis at the door!

If you can’t make it to the restaurant, Mother’s will be happy to prepare our great food for your tailgating party or your home football get together.  You can also pick up a gallon of our famous “Charlie ‘Elvis’ Stephens Bloody Mary”.  We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Holiday Season is once again upon us.  Mother’s would like to make your Holiday a little easier.  Our famous “Mother’s World’s Best Baked Hams” will be available along with our Turkeys and Oyster Dressing, Pies, Bread Pudding and all your holiday favorites.  Our holiday menus are posted at our web site (www.Mothersrestaurant.net).  You can pre-order or give us a call at 504-523-9656.  Sorry, we can’t ship our food due to FDA Regulation.

Mother’s Next Door (our private party room) is available for Christmas parties or any function that you want.  We have a great bar that features only call and premium liquors.  We can set a steamtable and you can create your own line!  We can serve you a Mother’s Buffet featuring our famous meats at a carving station or a Cocktail party with made in house passed hors d’oeuvres.  Our food is cooked from scratch and meats are roasted daily in Mother’s kitchens and ovens.

Mother’s off-site Catering is always ready to serve you at the venue of your choice.  We can bring Mother’s to you doing parties up to 1,000.
